Nextcloud: share your files securely

If you want to share several files and avoid the usual limit imposed by mail servers of around 25mb per message, use our Nextcloud solution. It is included in our services and simply works with an email account linked to your domain.

In the following scenario, the goal is simply to share a large file larger than 25mb: Select an email address that you want to use with Nextcloud.
Any email address linked to your domain is valid. If you haven't created an email address yet, just do it through the Plesk interface - see the Plesk guide on this subject

1. Once the desired email address is known (as well as its password), connect to our Nextcloud platform, available on https://own.cloudox.ch .

2. Use the desired email address in the first “Username or email” field, and the corresponding password in the second “Password” field.

3. If two-factor authentication is enabled for your account, you will be prompted for the code. This option is strongly recommended - follow the Nextcloud official documentation to configure two-factor authentication.

8. Select the file to share on your computer, and click "Open"

9. Your file upload begins, and may take several minutes depending on the size of your file and your connection speed. A progress bar shows you the status of the upload next to the "+" icon.

10. Once the upload is complete, the file will now appear in your list.

11. Click on the “share” icon at the level of the uploaded file. The sharing panel appears on the right of the file list.

12. Click on the “+” icon to the right of “Share link”.

13. An icon indicates that the link has been created and copied to your clipboard.

It is possible to re-copy the link by clicking on the clipboard icon.

14. Paste this link in an email addressed to the people with whom you want to share the file. Only people who have received this unique link will be able to download your file.

There are many other sharing options, including an expiration date or an additional password. Discover the Nextcloud user guide for all features.
